Malakia Silcott

Malakia Silcott is an experienced professional in career services with a focus on health, life sciences, and environmental affairs at Tufts University since March 2017. As Associate Director, responsibilities include supporting career development for all majors, overseeing undergraduate career programming for seniors, and contributing to resources for students. Previously, Malakia served as Assistant Director for Arts & Sciences, providing career advising and teaching a career readiness course. Prior roles include career coaching at Bunker Hill Community College, career development counseling at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and program coordination at Brandeis University. Malakia holds a Master's degree in College Student Development & Counseling from Northeastern University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and African American Studies from Oberlin College, along with a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida.
