Barbara Casdorff has extensive work experience in the travel and tourism industry. Barbara has held various leadership positions at TUI, starting as a Graduate Management Trainee in 1993 and then progressing to roles such as Manager Operations Incoming Touristic Shareholdings and Manager Mergers & Acquisitions. Barbara eventually became the CEO (Managing Director) of TUI Service AG and later served as the Director Destination Services at TUI Deutschland. Barbara then transitioned to TUI Travel PLC as the Transition Lead for Destination Services before taking on the role of Director Operational Excellence & Business Development at TUI Destination Services. Their most recent position at TUI was as the Product Director for TUI Destination Experiences. In October 2020, Barbara joined TUI Musement as the Chief Product Officer, responsible for the digital platform and local service delivery of tours and activities in over 140 countries. Prior to their time at TUI, they worked as a Trainee Market Research at Bayer's Miles Inc. division in 1992.
Barbara Casdorff completed their undergraduate education at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1986 to 1988, where they studied Betriebswirtschaftslehre (Business Administration). Barbara went on to attend the University of Cologne from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a degree in Diplom-Kauffrau (equivalent to a Master's degree) in field of study Betriebswirtschaftslehre.
