Sarah Montes

Sarah Montes serves as the Senior Associate Registrar for Curriculum Management and Graduation Analyst and as the Executive Director & Assistant Dean of Academic Advising at Tulane University since July 2008. Montes leads a 35-person team to provide over 75,000 advising touch points annually to a student population of 8,100, focusing on enhancing graduation and retention rates through innovative advising strategies. Previously, Montes held the position of Assistant Dean and Senior Academic and Career Advisor, where responsibilities included academic and career advising for undergraduate students and team leadership. Prior experience includes serving as the Language Learning Center Director & French Instructor at Randolph-Macon College and teaching French at Richmond Public Schools. Montes holds an M.A. in International Development from the University of Iowa and a B.A. in French from Lawrence University.
