Kimberly Andersson has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to present. Kimberly is currently the Head of Design at Tulip Interfaces since June 2021. Prior to Tulip Interfaces, they worked at Rocket Software, where they held multiple roles from 2014 to 2021. As the Director of User Experience, they built a design team and implemented a cohesive design system. Kimberly also led the long-term vision for future experiences on mainframe. Before that, they worked as a User Experience Engineer and a User Experience Design Engineer, where they focused on simplification and modernization of complex applications and served as a design evangelist.
Furthermore, Kimberly had an engagement with Startup Institute, where they participated in a program focusing on user-centered digital design, user experience, and front-end development. During this time, they co-created a browser extension with a local startup. Kimberly also worked as a Freelance Designer at Young Previvors and as a Graphic/User Interface Designer on a contract basis at Cardibo.
Additionally, Kimberly gained experience as an Industrial Design Intern at Bresslergroup and as a Quality Assurance Test Technician at DEKA Research & Development. Kimberly started their career as a GRASP Robotics Lab Intern at the University of Pennsylvania.
Kimberly Andersson completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Virginia Tech in the years 2009 to 2012. Kimberly graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. Prior to that, they attended the University of Pennsylvania from 2006 to 2007 for Mechanical Engineering, although no degree information was provided.
