John Doherty

John Doherty is an experienced geoscientist currently serving as Head of Geoscience Technology at Tullow Oil since June 2005. Throughout their tenure at Tullow, John has held various roles, including Exploration - Operations Technical Manager, Technical Project Services Manager, and Principal Geophysicist, contributing significantly to geophysical acquisition projects and operational management in diverse environments. Prior to Tullow, John worked at CGG as a Senior Geophysicist, focusing on advanced geoscience projects, and held positions at CSA and Geopro, where early career experiences included survey design and geophysical data processing. John holds a PhD in Geophysics, an MSc in Petroleum Geology, and a BSc in Physics & Geology from renowned universities in Ireland.
