Mike Walsh

Mike Walsh is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as General Counsel and Director of Risk, Compliance & IS at Tullow Oil since August 2020, Walsh previously held the position of General Counsel at Delonex Energy from October 2013 to July 2020. Prior to that, Walsh was Director - Legal/General Counsel at Cairn India Limited from June 2007 to October 2013. A partner at McGrigors LLP from 2006 to 2007, Walsh contributed to establishing a leading market position in oil and gas law. Walsh's legal career began at Ledingham Chalmers LLP, where responsibilities expanded from Legal Associate to Country Manager, overseeing legal operations in Azerbaijan. Earning both a Diploma in Legal Practice and an LLB Hons from the University of Aberdeen, Walsh possesses expertise in corporate strategy, compliance, contract negotiation, and governance.
