Oliver Tallon is a seasoned petrophysicist with over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Lead Petrophysicist for Non-Op & Exploration at Tullow Oil since December 2010. In this role, Oliver oversees petrophysical operations across Tullow's Non-Operated portfolio in Gabon, CDI, and Equatorial Guinea, significantly impacting reserves, development, and exploration efforts. With a robust background in evaluating new ventures and contributing to M&A activities, Oliver has held several senior positions, including roles in Central West Africa, Kenya, and Ghana, where vital insights into reservoir characterization and petrophysical modeling were delivered. Previous experience includes positions at TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company and Aceca, complemented by an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor's degree in Geology and Geography from The University of Manchester.
