Richard J. Carter PhD FBCS FRSA is a seasoned expert in artificial intelligence and complex adaptive systems, currently serving as a Senior Visiting Fellow and Senior Research Consultant at The Alan Turing Institute since May 2022. As CEO and Founder of tulpa since February 2022, Richard has also contributed as a Council Member of the European Complex Systems Society, advocating for the integration of complexity science in industry and government. Richard's professional experience includes advising on digital transformation and AI at SNC-Lavalin, and academic roles at the University of Bristol. Richard holds a PhD in Complexity Science and multiple degrees, including an MBA and MSc in Microsystems & Nanotechnology, highlighting a strong foundation in both technical and business domains.
