Carol Whetzel, SPHR has a wealth of experience in various human resources roles. Carol currently holds the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at the Tulsa City-County Library, which they started in 2017. Prior to this, Carol served as the SME for HRCI Exam Development Panel at the HR Certification Institute starting in 2002. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as the Human Resource Manager at Energy Products LLC, where they implemented new ways to meet customer needs and introduced data management tools. Carol also held the role of Human Resource Manager at Warehouse Specialists, Inc. from 2012 to 2013, where they supported on-site employees and served as an HR customer liaison. From 2009 to 2012, they served as the Director of Human Resources at Defender Direct, where they built the HR department from the ground up. Carol's other previous roles include Director of Human Resources at Focus Hospitality Services, LLC from 2007 to 2009 and Human Resource Manager at McDaniel Fire Systems LLC from 2001 to 2006. Through their various positions, Carol has demonstrated their expertise in HR leadership, strategic partnerships, and implementing effective HR management practices.

Carol Whetzel, SPHR, completed their education history with an MBA in Management/HR from Indiana University Northwest, which they pursued from 1992 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a BBA in Management/HR from The University of Memphis, attending from 1987 to 1991. Additionally, Carol obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in September 2020.
