Matthew Cox

Matthew Cox is an experienced library professional with a diverse background in customer service, reference assistance, and instructional support. Currently serving as a Customer Service Assistant at Tulsa City-County Library since February 2015, Matthew provides circulation and reference services while leading circulation staff during various shifts. Previous roles include Library Associate and Senior Library Assistant at Kent State University, where Matthew taught bibliographic instruction, conducted plagiarism sessions, and assisted patrons across multiple formats. Additional experience includes substitute library positions at Akron-Summit County Public Library, academic advising at Tulsa Community College, and archival work at the Carl Albert Center, among others. Matthew holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Letters from the University of Oklahoma.
