Jennie Williams

Jennie Williams joined the Tulsa Remote team as the Alumni Experience Specialist in December 2022. In her role, Jennie supports Tulsa Remote’s alumni members by collaborating with city partners and planning unique events to continue providing opportunities for alums to engage with the program and build community in all forms.

Jennie was born in Brooklyn, NY, and her family moved to Tulsa when she was a toddler. After graduating high school, Jennie moved to Mexico to pursue mission work. While there, she developed a passion for helping people build community and ensuring individuals have a place and people to call home. After returning to the United States, Jennie pursued a degree in social work at Lubbock Christian University. For the last seven years, she has served as a family advocate for Tulsa’s Latin community at Tulsa Educare. As an advocate, she provided translation services and crisis intervention support and taught parenting classes.
