Patrick Gonzales has been working in the field of research since 2010. Patrick began their career at the University of Colorado Boulder as a Professional Research Assistant- Entry Level, where they conducted laboratory experiments and produced and sterilized reagents for laboratory usage. Patrick then went on to become a Professional Research Assistant- Molecular Biology / Materials Supervisor, where they developed, troubleshooted, and executed molecular biology assays for various lab projects, as well as managed stock of laboratory materials and strains. After that, they became a Professional Research Assistant- Bioinformatics Analyst, where they developed and standardized bioinformatic pipelines specific to the needs of the laboratory and trained incoming graduate and undergraduate students to use computational resources and bioinformatic pipelines. Most recently, in 2020, Patrick began working as the Chief Technology Officer for TUMI Genomics, as well as a Professional Research Assistant for the University of Colorado Boulder - Covid-19 Surveillance laboratory.
Patrick Gonzales attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a B.A. in Integrative Physiology with a field of study in Molecular Biology. In 2018, they completed a Data Science Program at Thinkful.
