Claudia Akamine

Claudia Akamine has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Claudia is currently the Co-Founder & CFO of Tumi Robotics, a deep tech startup focused on safetytech, cleantech, and sustainability in industries such as mining, energy, oil & gas, and capital-intensive sectors. Claudia aims to establish Tumi Robotics as an international leader in the field while contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.

Prior to their current role, Claudia worked at Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros, where they held various positions. Claudia served as the Healthcare Innovation Manager from May 2018 to April 2021, overseeing projects related to healthcare innovation. Before that, they were the Chief of Staff from November 2017 to October 2018, where they assisted the CEO in managing high-level committees, organizing agendas for the board of directors and top-level committees, and ensuring effective communication channels. Claudia also served as the Operations and Collections Manager, Strategy and Customer Maintenance Manager, and Assistant Manager of Transformation and Continuous Improvement during their tenure at Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros.

Claudia's earlier experience includes roles at Belcorp as the Chief of Business Solutions, Rimac Seguros as a Project Manager, Ernst & Young as an IT Supervisor, and Banco de Credito del Peru as an Analyst of Systems.

Claudia Akamine's education history begins in the year 1995 when they enrolled in the Universidad de Lima. Claudia pursued a degree in Ingeniera de Sistemas and completed their studies in the year 2000. Following this, they acquired a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, where they attended from 2011 to 2013.

In the year 2020, Claudia Akamine embarked on further education by joining the MIT Sloan School of Management. Claudia participated in a program called "Liderazgo en la Innovación" and completed their studies in 2021. Additionally, in November 2022, Claudia obtained a certification as an "Expositor" from CIDE - PUCP institution.
