George Upton is a versatile music educator, composer, and performer with a rich background in both electronic and instrumental music. Currently serving as a Music Educator at the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies since January 2021, George also operates George Upton Music Instruction, providing private consultations in various aspects of music composition and performance since May 2012. As a co-founder and A&R for Deep Locus from July 2017 to May 2020, George was instrumental in management and artist relations for the record label. Through diverse collaborations such as with the duo Aananda and projects like Zirkus Mond, George has blended ethereal soundscapes with electronic influences, stemming from a formative experience in Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher between September 2009 and September 2011. An accomplished professional, George Upton's musical journey began with improvisational roots in northern California, extending to notable contributions in sound design and live performances across multiple platforms.

The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is a free after-school program that gives teens the skills and tools necessary to succeed in a modern digital world. The TUMO program includes 14 learning targets such as animation, web design, robotics, 3D modeling, game development and filmmaking. Currently, there are four TUMO centers in Armenia — Yerevan, Dilijan, Gyumri and Stepanakert — and two international centers in Paris, France and Beirut, Lebanon. More TUMO centers are on the way in Koghb, Masis and other locations in Armenia and abroad.
