Sawyer Hescock is currently serving as the Regional Director and CEO of TUMO Los Angeles, where leadership is focused on the establishment of a new TUMO Center for Creative Technologies aimed at empowering teens through self-directed learning in technology and design. Prior experience includes Head of International Partnerships and Operations at Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, where Sawyer developed and implemented a growth and commercialization strategy for design and technology education globally. Previous roles include Implementation and Dissemination at CheckUp & Choices, Corporate Management Trainee at The Kraft Heinz Company, Equity Research Intern at Verdad Advisers, Lab Research Assistant at the University of Otago, and Crew Manager at Golden Ruler Construction. Sawyer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Evolutionary Biology with a secondary focus on Global Health and Health Policy from Harvard University.

The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is a free after-school program that gives teens the skills and tools necessary to succeed in a modern digital world. The TUMO program includes 14 learning targets such as animation, web design, robotics, 3D modeling, game development and filmmaking. Currently, there are four TUMO centers in Armenia — Yerevan, Dilijan, Gyumri and Stepanakert — and two international centers in Paris, France and Beirut, Lebanon. More TUMO centers are on the way in Koghb, Masis and other locations in Armenia and abroad.
