Dilara Sen Peers has extensive experience in research, quality control, and production. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Scientist and Research Lead at Tune Therapeutics. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at North Carolina State University as a Research Assistant, where they established human brain organoid models and mapped the spatiotemporal localization of a key protein relevant to neurodevelopmental disorders. In 2014, they were a Quality Control Intern at BASF and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, where they conducted experiments on the affect of ALD coating on drug release and electrospinning nanofibers. In 2013, they were a Production Intern at Diversey, where they did daily production planning in the SAP system. In 2012, they were a Quality Control Intern at Sandoz, where they conducted relative density, density, and pH measurements, disintegration and breakability tests, dissolution analysis, and refraction index analysis.
Dilara Sen Peers began their educational journey in 2009 when they attended Boğaziçi University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 2014. Dilara then attended North Carolina State University for an Exchange Program in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from 2013 to 2014. Lastly, they attended North Carolina State University again from 2015 to 2020 and earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering.
