Although relatively new to the UK market, Tungaloy were founded in Japan in 1929 and were the first Japanese company to develop cemented carbide. In 2008 the company was purchased by Berkshire Hathaway and became a member of The IMC Group. Since our inclusion huge investment has been pledged into R&D developing some of the industry’s leading turning, grooving, milling and drilling products, helping manufacturing companies in a wide variety of industries to increase their productivity and reduce tooling costs.
