Laquita Moore

Laquita Moore has over 20 years of experience in the education and insurance industry. Laquita started their career as a Special Education Teacher in the Louisville Municipal School District in 1999 and continued in the same role in the Hattiesburg Public School District from 2001 to 2004. Moore then worked as a Special Education Teacher in the Long Beach School District from 2004 to 2005. Laquita was promoted to Assistant Principal at Louisville High School from 2006 to 2008. Moore then transitioned into a Director of Special Education role in the Louisville Municipal School District from 2008 to 2012. Laquita subsequently worked in a similar role at Meridian Public Schools from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Moore's Financial Group, LLC as a Licensed Insurance Agent until 2016. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Special Education at the Tunica County School District, a position they have held since 2016.

Laquita Moore has a diverse education history, starting with an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Education from East Central Community College, which they obtained from 1995 to 1997. Laquita then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Special Education and Teaching from The University of Southern Mississippi, completing their studies from 1997 to 1999. Following this, they attended Mississippi State University from 1999 to 2001, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Special Education and Teaching. Later on, in 2003 to 2004, Laquita attended The University of Southern Mississippi again and obtained a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, with a focus on General Education. Finally, in 2017 to 2018, they furthered their education with a Specialist degree in Psychometrics and Quantitative Psychology from Jackson State University.
