Jennifer Hales has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jennifer started their career as a Production Assistant and later became a Senior Staff Assistant at National Geographic Television & Film, Inc. During their time there, they supported the Head of the Natural History Unit, created reports and budgets, and recruited interns.

Jennifer then transitioned to the role of Senior Conservation Specialist at the World Wildlife Fund, where they co-authored a book on African conservation and edited contributions from various authors. Jennifer also worked as a Conservation Science Consultant, providing content for a global biodiversity website.

Jennifer also worked as an Environmental Health Consultant at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where they researched and drafted a discussion paper on the link between the environment, ecosystems, and human health.

In their most recent role as an Administrative Assistant at the U.S. Department of State, Jennifer provided support to a Diplomatic Security Service team.

Currently, Jennifer is working as a Business Development Program Coordinator at Tunuva Technologies, Inc., where they support business development and HR activities.

Throughout their career, Jennifer has demonstrated strong research, coordination, and administrative skills, and has collaborated with international teams and organizations.

Jennifer Hales holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from William & Mary, which they obtained from 1989 to 1993. Jennifer then pursued a Masters of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Conservation Biology at the University of Cape Town from 1997 to 1998. In addition to their educational background, Jennifer has obtained several certifications in the field of cybersecurity. Jennifer is a GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), obtained from GIAC Certifications in January 2022, and holds certifications in GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) and GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT) from the same institution, obtained in October and September 2021, respectively.
