Petri Hautakangas is the current CEO at Tupl, a position they have held since September 2015. Prior to this, they were the Head of Technology and CTO for APAC and Japan at Nokia Networks from January 2008 to September 2015. During their time at Nokia Networks, Hautakangas was responsible for formulating and executing growth strategy in Japan as well as winning deals and pushing new ideas to sellable products. Under their leadership, the region saw a sales growth of 500% over 4 years.
Hautakangas began their career at Nokia Networks in Mexico in January 2004, where they served as Technical Director. In this role, they were responsible for being the counterpart to América Móvil/Telmex CTOs and affiliate CTOs. During their time in Mexico, Hautakangas was instrumental in 3G wins for Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, and Paraguay. Petri also successfully sold MSC Servers (R4) across America Movil, replacing other vendors.
In January 2002, Hautakangas transferred to Nokia China to take on the role of Head of 3G Competence. Two years later, in January 2004, they moved back to Nokia Networks / Brasil to assume the position of Senior Solution Manager. Hautakangas remained in this role until December 2001 when they accepted the position of Head of Technology and CTO for APAC and Japan at Nokia Networks.
Petri Hautakangas has a Master of Science in Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan and a Business Study Programme from UCLA, California, USA.
