Charles (Casey) Barker

Charles (Casey) Barker has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Charles (Casey) is currently working as a Principal Engineer at TurbineOne since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Cisco Tetration Analytics for four years as a Principal Engineer, where they played a key role in broadening Tetration's market into Forensics by proposing and building a new telemetry agent.

Before Cisco, Charles worked at Google for seven years as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to Google's "ACME" rapid-prototyping lab and scaling ACME's presence-tracking system. Charles (Casey) also has experience working at Motorola Solutions as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, at MeshNetworks as a Senior Staff Engineer, and at Motorola as a Software Engineer.

Charles began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Florida, where they conducted lab sessions for a robotics course and served as a Lab Researcher and System Administrator. Charles (Casey) also had internships at Monsanto, where they developed and deployed online training manuals for chemical manufacturing processes.

Charles (Casey) Barker attended the University of Florida from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications throughout their career. In October 2011, they achieved a Level 3 High Power Amateur Rocketry certification from the National Association of Rocketry. In February of the same year, they obtained an Amateur Extra Radio License from the FCC. Most recently, in March 2020, they obtained a GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC Certifications.
