Simon Hørup Eskildsen

Simon Hørup Eskildsen is an experienced technology leader with a robust background in software engineering and infrastructure. Currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO at turbopuffer since May 2023, Simon drives innovations that enhance productivity for various platforms including Cursor and Notion. Prior to this role, Simon worked as Principal Engineer at WebScale Inc, tackling scalability and performance challenges for clients. At Shopify, Simon held multiple key positions including Principal Engineer and Director of Kernel, where contributions included leading the New Capabilities lab and optimizing the performance of Shopify's architecture. Simon's career began at Firmafon as a software developer, focusing on telephony solutions. Simon's educational foundation includes a high school degree with a focus on Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry from Aarhus Katedralskole.
