Justas Mikaliūnas

Justas Mikaliūnas is the current Lead of Data Analytics at Turing College. Justas was previously the Data and Analytics Team Lead at Telia Norge from February 2019 to June 2020. There, they led a team of 3 data engineers who managed the data analytics platform (Cloudera Hadoop, Dataiku, custom components). Justas also co-owned the migration of data analytics platform from on prem to AWS cloud. Part of it were Databricks and Snowflake POCs. Justas spent approximately 60% of their time on management and projects coordination, and 40% on individual tasks.

From December 2017 to November 2018, they were the Founder of Duomenų Guru, where they taught people to use Big Data tools and understand the full data migration process in data driven companies. Google BigQuery, Google Data Studio and Amazon LightSail tools were used during lectures.

Justas was also the Business Intelligence Lead at TRAFI from November 2016 to February 2019, and the Data Analyst at Vinted from March 2016 to November 2016. Prior to that, they were the Senior Analyst, Business Applied Analytics at Western Union from October 2013 to March 2016.

Justas Mikaliūnas has a Master's Degree in Computer Modelling from Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University, as well as a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of York. In addition, they have certification from Coursera in Architecting with Google Cloud Platform Specialization, Machine Learning with TensorFlow on Google Cloud Platform Specialization, and Data Engineering on Google Cloud Platform Specialization. Justas is also Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect and Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer from Google, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance, and Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0.

They are on a team with Giedrius Žebrauskas - Head of Education, Dovydas Čeilutka - Lead of Data Science, and Tomas Moška - Co-Founder & CPO. Justas Mikaliūnas reports to Lukas Kaminskis, Co-Founder & CEO.
