Lead Satellite Analysis Engineer at Turion Space

Casper Versteeg has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Recently, in 2023, Casper joined Turion Space as the Lead Satellite Analysis Engineer. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2023, Casper worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Lynk. Casper also gained valuable experience while pursuing a PHD at Duke University, starting in 2018 and concluding in 2021. During this time, Casper worked as a PHD student. Before joining Duke University, Casper served as the Mechanical Team Co-Lead at UGA SmallSat Research Lab from 2017 to 2021. Additionally, Casper worked as a Teacher Assistant at the University of Georgia College of Engineering from 2017 to 2018. Casper began their professional journey as a Student Supervisor at the University of Georgia Bolton Dining Commons from 2015 to 2017, where they were responsible for managing, supervising, and training the student worker body, as well as handling day-to-day operations and ensuring food safety and efficiency.

Casper Versteeg has a strong educational background in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Casper earned their High School Diploma in Natuur en Techniek (Natural Sciences) from Anna van Rijn Lyceum in 2014. Following that, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Georgia College of Engineering and the University of Georgia, graduating in 2018. Continuing their education, Casper then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University, completing their studies in 2021.
