Taner Yavuz

Taner Yavuz has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Taner is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Turk Eximbank, a position they started in July 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of Financial Services at Turk Eximbank from January 2020 to July 2021.

Before joining Turk Eximbank, Yavuz held the position of Head of Strategy & Finance at Vakıf Emeklilik ve Hayat A.Ş. from May 2018 to January 2020. In this role, they were responsible for various functions, including strategy and program management, financial control and reporting, planning, accounting and tax, treasury and fund management, and economic research.

Taner also served as the Acting Executive Vice President (EVP) - Head of Strategy and Finance from July 2016 to September 2016.

Prior to their role at Türkiye Finans Katılım Bankası, Yavuz worked as VP - Head of Planning, Financial Analysis & Group Reporting (Deputy CFO) at CREDIT EUROPE BANK S.A. (Romania) from February 2007 to July 2009.

Yavuz started their career at YAPI ve KREDI BANKASI A.S., where they held various positions including Manager - MIS Reporting and Budgeting Unit, Assistant Manager - Financial Control Department, and Auditor - Internal Audit Department. During their tenure, they successfully implemented a segment profitability model, improved MIS infrastructure, and led teams to achieve high-performance targets.

Taner Yavuz attended Naval High School from 1984 to 1988. Following this, they studied at Boğaziçi University from 1989 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics.
