Simge Aksoy has extensive experience in human resources, currently serving as Chief of Talent Acquisition and Chief of Organizational Structure Management at Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii since July 2017. Prior to this role, Aksoy held the position of Chief of Human Resources Process Development at Çalık Enerji from September 2013 to June 2017, and worked at Rönesans Holding A.Ş. as a Human Resources Officer from 2012 to September 2013. Earlier experience includes roles at Fintek AŞ., starting as a Human Resources Assistant Specialist in 2002 and advancing to Senior Human Resources Specialist by July 2012, and an initial position as a Gişe Asistanı at Garanti Bankası from August 2000 to July 2002. Aksoy’s expertise encompasses organizational structure studies, human resources systems development, and performance appraisal system design among various projects. Education was pursued at Ankara University and Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi.

Turkish Aircraft Industries Corporation was established on June 28, 1973 under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology in order to reduce the foreign dependency in defense industry of Turkey. With the decision of meeting the combat aircraft requirement of Turkish Air Force (TurAF) with F-16s, Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI) was established by Turkish and US partners in 1984 for a period of 25 years with the aim to realize the manufacture, systems integration and flight tests of F-16 that would be delivered to TurAF. TAI was restructured in the year 2005, just before the 25 years of period came to an end, with the acquisition of foreign shares by Turkish shareholders. Along with this restructuring, Turkish Aircraft Industries and TAI have merged under the roof of Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. and have broadened its activities. In 2018, Turkish Aerospace got a fresh look with its new logo and identity. Turkish Aerospace has become Turkey's center of technology in design, development, modernization, manufacturing, integration and life cycle support of integrated aerospace systems, from fixed and rotary wing air platforms to UAVs and satellites.
