Caner Karatas

Caner Karatas currently serves as a TRI - Type Rating Instructor and Standardization and Coordination Manager at AJet since February 2024. With extensive experience at Turkish Airlines from April 2013 to the present, Caner holds the position of Captain Pilot for the Boeing 737NG and has also served as an Airline Pilot, Cruise Relief Captain, First Officer on Boeing 777-300ER, and First Officer on the Airbus A320 Family. Educational credentials include ongoing training at the Turkish Airlines Training Center for Boeing 737-300/900 type rating since March 2022, along with prior type ratings for Boeing 777 and Airbus A320 obtained at Turkish Airlines and CAE, respectively. Caner is also a graduate of the Oxford Aviation Academy with EASA CPL and ATPL qualifications and began aviation training with a FAA PPL from CAE in Arizona after completing a degree at Bülent Ecevit University from 2006 to 2011.
