Mahmud Usame Gungor

Mahmud Usame Gungor has over a decade of experience in the finance and e-commerce sectors, currently serving as an Online Payment Systems Supervisor at Turkish Airlines since July 2011. In this role, Mahmud oversees various online payment methods, including credit cards and alternative platforms such as PayPal and iDEAL, while also managing fraud prevention efforts. Prior to this position, Mahmud worked as an e-Commerce Specialist and completed internships, including a role at the Islamic Development Bank. Mahmud's earlier career included positions at Albaraka Türk Katılım Bankası A.Ş, focusing on risk management. Mahmud holds a Master of Science in Financial Economics from Istanbul Bilgi University and a Certified Islamic Finance Professional designation from the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in International Finance & Business Economics from Istanbul Bilgi University.
