Tracy Toups

Tracy Toups is an experienced professional in electrical and electronics engineering, currently serving as an Associate Engineer in power system protection at Turlock Irrigation District since July 2023, responsible for safeguarding the electrical power grid. Tracy also holds a position as an Associate Professor at California State University, Sacramento, since August 2015, focusing on power engineering and collaborating with the local power industry to facilitate employment connections. Previously, Tracy worked as an Engineering Consultant for the California Energy Commission from January 2017 to January 2018, and has held engineering roles at Louisiana State University as a Lab Assistant, at PCS2000 as a Power Protection Engineer during summer internships, and at DEMCO as an Engineering Intern. Tracy earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Louisiana State University.
