Jerry Sammons, MBA

Jerry Sammons, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Jerry began their career in the US Army in 1986, where they served as a Military Police/Explosive Dog Handler. During their time in the military, Jerry supervised and managed a team of eight canine handlers, overseeing their training and coordinating their duties.

After leaving the military in 1994, Jerry joined Altria as a Territory Sales Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing 140 retail accounts and achieving $35 million in annual sales volume. Jerry excelled in sales execution, compliance, and customer relationship management, working with various trade segments like mass merchandisers, supermarkets, and independent retail outlets.

In 2011, Jerry joined THERAPY FOR YOU, where they worked as a Business Development professional. Jerry was accountable for developing and implementing sales strategies to increase referral sources and revenue growth. Additionally, they supervised a team of ten clerical staff members and managed budgets, records, office policies, procedures, and equipment.

Jerry then transitioned to National Tobacco Co., L.P. in 2014, starting as a Territory Sales Manager. In this capacity, they demonstrated expertise in sales, logistics, inventory management, and training. Jerry later took on the role of Business Development Manager, focusing on expanding business opportunities and fostering growth.

Most recently, Jerry joined Turning Point Brands, Inc. in 2017 as a Key Wholesale Account Manager, where they are responsible for managing key accounts and driving sales.

Jerry Sammons, MBA completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management at Saint Leo University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained their Masters degree in Business Administration from the same university in 1998. In 1990 and 1991, they attended Georgia Military College-Atlanta Campus, where they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Criminology.
