Anil Toshniwal

Anil Toshniwal is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Turtlemint since November 2018. Anil is a full stack software engineer and architect with a passion for developing high-performance software. Anil has experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and hiring.

Prior to their current role, Anil worked at Turtlemint as a Technical Lead from August 2015 to August 2018. In this role, they were responsible for tech architecture and microservice implementation for various products and analytics related to insurance. Anil also worked on creating a Facebook bot for insurance queries and purchases. Anil managed the motor tech team and handled AWS servers, code review, and automation deployment.

Before joining Turtlemint, Anil worked at Yatra as a Software Architect and Developer from July 2014 to July 2015. Anil focused on software development and optimization of the existing infrastructure, utilizing high-scale search infrastructure on SOLR and ElasticSearch. Anil worked with a Java-based technology stack that included frameworks like Play! Framework, Akka, and databases like MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB.

Anil started their career at Oracle as a Senior Software Developer in July 2012 and worked there until July 2014. Anil was part of the Oracle MySQL InnoDB team and was responsible for designing and developing new features for upcoming releases of MySQL. Anil also worked on the "Innochecksum Tool - Offline InnoDB File checksum utility" project.
