Nancy Rashid

Director, IP and Licensing at TurtleTree

Nancy Rashid has a long and varied work experience. Nancy began their career in 1999 as a Student-Employee at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In 2001, they moved to Denmark to become a Postdoctoral Researcher at DTU - Technical University of Denmark. After that, they took on the role of Brewing Group Manager at Anheuser-Busch in 2002. Nancy also worked as an Engineering Consultant in the same year. In 2003, they joined the University of California, Davis as a Principal Licensing Officer, then as a Senior Licensing Officer, and finally as an Intellectual Property Officer. Most recently, they are the Director, IP and Licensing at TurtleTree, a position they have held since 2021.

Nancy Rashid has a diverse educational background. Nancy began their studies at the University of California, Davis, where they obtained a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering. Nancy then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering from the same institution. After that, Rashid completed coursework for a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at The University of Texas at Austin. Nancy then furthered their studies by becoming a Postdoctoral Researcher in Chemical Engineering at DTU - Technical University of Denmark. In addition to their educational experience, Rashid also holds a BCLT Certificate in Chinese IP Law from the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology (BCLT) and is a Registered Patent Agent with the USPTO.
