Mary Briskin

Mary Briskin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mary started their career in 2012 as a Hostess/Server at Heritage Fish and Chips. In 2013, they worked as a Contract Copywriter at Dragon Taekwondo. Mary then interned as a Social Media Intern at Hipstreet in 2014. In the same year, they also worked as a Ruby on Rails Intern at MenuSlate.

In 2015, Mary worked as a Web Developer at Whole New Home and Kabuni, and also had a role as a Software Engineer at FutureAdvisor - Investment Management for Everyone. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at Shopify and held positions as a Developer and eventually as a Senior Developer. Mary also had a brief stint as a Developer at Shopify Plus in early 2017.

Most recently, Mary joined Tutored by Teachers in 2022, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer before being promoted to the role of Lead Software Engineer in 2023.

Mary Briskin received their Bachelor's degree from the University of Waterloo in 2017. Mary'sdegree included coursework in Psychology, Business, and Computer Science. In addition, they obtained a certification in Duolingo Spanish Fluency at the intermediate level in October 2016 from Duolingo.
