Sonja Großmann

Sonja Großmann has a strong background in quality management and engineering in the medical devices industry. Sonja currently holds the position of Regional VP Medical Devices and IVD-Auditing & Testing for TÜV Rheinland Group in Germany. In this role, they are responsible for leading the medical department and overseeing a team of 140 associates. Prior to this, Sonja worked at BD as a Plant Manager, where they successfully managed a site with 220 employees and implemented new production lines. Sonja also served as the Manager of Quality Engineering at BD, supervising the operations quality engineering team and providing expertise in quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Before joining BD, Sonja held the position of Head of Quality at Hittech Group, where they managed the entire quality area and implemented process optimization strategies. Sonja has also gained valuable experience at Stryker, where they held various roles including Manufacturing Staff Engineer, Project Engineer Continuous Improvement, Sentinel Project Engineer, and Quality Assurance Engineer. Sonja has a solid educational background and has completed additional training in DIN EIN 9100.

Sonja Großmann obtained a Magister Artium degree in Klassische Archäologie from The University of Freiburg between 1999 and 2004. Sonja later pursued a degree as a "staatl. anerkannter Betriebswirt des Handwerks" from Bildungsakademie des Handwerks in Karlsruhe from 2008 to 2010. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a DGQ Quality Manager certification from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Qualität e.V. in June 2014 and a Quality Auditor certification from the same institution in November 2012. Sonja also obtained Lean Manager certification from Management Circle AG and Quality Management Lead Auditor 13485:2016 and MDSAP certification from NSF International.
