David Ives

Founder & CEO at TVEyes

David J. Ives is the founder and CEO of TVEyes. For more than 30 years, he has focused on the development and monetization of custom databases and special-purpose software. He and a team of highly skilled developers designed and built the core technologies underpinning TVEyes, which when launched in 1999, was the first broadcast search engine and monitoring system. Before founding TVEyes, he owned Victory Systems Associates Inc., which provided software design, engineering and custom database development for industries including barter, textiles, hotel property management and broadcast media monitoring (building the foundation that would later become the TVEyes service). Earlier, David worked at Alexander and Alexander, Inc. and the Tennessee Farmers Cooperative in software development roles. David has four patents granted: three relating to the extraction of social media tags and handles from broadcast television and video; and a fourth relating to a system that presents contextually relevant advertisements based on words spoken in a video or audio segment being played via the Internet. He holds a B.A. in Information Science from Fordham University.
