Gareth Johnson

Gareth Johnson has a diverse work experience in various industries. Gareth is currently working as a Marketing Manager at TVG Hospitality since October 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Music Content Manager at TVG Hospitality from January 2021 to October 2021.

From 2018 to the present, Gareth worked at The Social London as a Music & Events Programmer. Their main responsibilities included managing event bookings, booking bands from various genres, and overseeing the smooth execution of shows. Gareth also assisted independent promoters with online marketing, advertising, and physical postering for events.

In 2019, Gareth worked at Settled Law Records as a Label Manager. Gareth handled manufacturing, digital and physical product delivery, campaign timeline, and strategy management for the band-run label.

From February 2019 to March 2020, Gareth held the position of Record Label Assistant at Council Records. Their duties included A&R scouting, physical manufacturing management, metadata input, website and social media management, stock control, and marketing and release strategy for LPs, singles, and EPs. Gareth also managed bands and worked with brand partners for event curation.

In 2018, Gareth worked as a Record Label Assistant at Hate Hate Hate Records. Gareth also served as an Assistant Store Manager at LION COFFEE + RECORDS LLP the same year. In this role, they were responsible for record buying, stock control, online sales, event booking, staff management, and social media marketing.

Before pursuing their career in the music industry, Gareth worked at L3 Technologies as a System Engineer for a brief period in 2015.

Gareth Johnson attended The King's School, Ottery St Mary from 2006 to 2013, where they completed their secondary education. Following this, they pursued their higher studies at the University of Bristol from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Mathematics.
