Head Of Software Engineering at TVS Digital Pte. Ltd.

Tiong Hieng Lim has extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Tiong Hieng started their career as a Lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak in 1999, where they provided lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students. During this time, they also supervised project works and developed two undergraduate modules. In 2000, they worked as a Webmaster at the Institute of Engineers in Malaysia (Sarawak Branch).

Moving forward, Tiong served as a Senior Software Engineer at Group Sense Technology Pte Ltd from 2001 to 2003, followed by the role of Chief Engineer at Philips Electronics from 2003 to 2006. Tiong Hieng then joined SingComm Technology Pte Ltd as a Product Development Manager from 2006 to 2008. During this period, they gained valuable experience in software development and project management.

In 2008, Tiong became self-employed, focusing on entrepreneurship and freelancing. Tiong Hieng also briefly worked at Pacific Pte Ltd, specifically within the Razer Asia division. In 2010, Tiong joined Nanyang Polytechnic as a Deputy Manager and Senior Lecturer, a position they held until 2018. During this time, they honed their managerial skills and continued teaching and mentoring students.

Following their role at Nanyang Polytechnic, Tiong became the Head of Engineering at ST Engineering Innosparks Pte Ltd from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they provided leadership and technical expertise to the engineering team. Recently, in 2020, they took on the position of Head of Software Engineering at TVS Digital Pte. Ltd., where they continue to contribute their knowledge and skills in software development.

Tiong Hieng Lim pursued a BEng degree in Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Digital Systems Design from The University of Manchester between 1993 and 1995. Later, from 1996 to 1999, they completed their PhD in Electronics Engineering from the same institution. In addition to their academic qualifications, Tiong Hieng Lim has obtained various certifications, including Agile Software Development: Remote Teams, Learning Azure DevOps, Learning GitLab, Strategic Thinking, Becoming a Product Manager, and Entrepreneurship Foundations from LinkedIn, all in the year 2020. Tiong Hieng also acquired the Scrum: Advanced certification during the same year.
