Megan Wennekers

Megan Wennekers is a Senior Policy Advisor and Deputy Head of Team at Tweede Kamer der Staten-Generaal since December 2021, overseeing portfolios related to Justice and Security, Kingdom affairs, General Affairs, and the Royal House. Prior to this role, Megan worked as a Legal Advisor at the Cabinet of the Governor of Sint Maarten from August 2019 to December 2021 and served as a Policy Advisor at Hogeschool Rotterdam from August 2018 to August 2019. Additional experience includes positions as a Compliance Consultant at Partner in Compliance, Verenigingsondersteuning at D66, and a Legal Department Intern at VluchtelingenWerk Nederland. Earlier experience also includes project management with the European Youth Parliament from 2013 to 2015. Megan holds a Master of Laws in International Public Law from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Laws from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, along with a minor in Philosophy from the same institution. Education was completed at Stanislas College Westplantsoen with a VWO diploma focused on culture and society.
