Dr. Xing Sun

Dr. Xing Sun has extensive experience in fatigue and fracture integrity management, currently serving as a Technical Advisor/Consultant and Principal Project Leader at TWI since January 2015, with previous roles as Senior Project Leader. Prior to TWI, Xing Sun worked as a Naval Architect at Six Tee Engineering Groups Pte Ltd, where responsibilities included hydrodynamic analysis and structural analysis. Dr. Sun also gained research experience as a Visiting Scholar at Carleton University, collaborating with Professor Goldak on welding research, and completed internships at various engineering firms, providing foundational knowledge in shipbuilding and design. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Engineering in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
