Michiel de Backker

Michiel De Backker is an accomplished technology leader currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Twintag since May 2019, focusing on Product-Led Communication in an increasingly fast-paced communication landscape. Previously, Michiel held the role of Product Owner at Esoptra, where the development of a "data innovation" platform aimed to convert available data into actionable information. Prior experience includes serving as a Co-creator of the Pion WebRTC project, a Technical Business Consultant for Supply Chain Optimization at Ordina Belgium, and completing a Student Internship at VITO, which focused on evaluating Apache Hadoop's workflow tools. Michiel holds a Master of Science in Industrial Sciences: Electronics-ICT from Thomas More University of Applied Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen, as well as a TSO in Industrial Sciences from Vrije Technische Scholen van Turnhout.
