José Trancas

Chief Software Architect / Team Lead at Two Impulse

José Trancas has extensive work experience in the software development field. José started their career as a Customer Technical, Commercial, and Billing Support at PT Contact in 2005. In 2007, they became a Freelance Software Developer. Later, in 2009, they worked as a Software Developer at Universidade de Évora until 2012.

In 2013, José co-founded a company called Two Impulse and worked as a Freelance Consultant. José held this role until 2017 when they transitioned to become a Full Stack Developer at the same company. From 2019 to 2020, they served as an Engineering Team Lead. In 2021, they took on the position of Chief Technology Officer until the end of the year.

Currently, José is working for Two Impulse as a Software Architect. José started in 2022 as a Software Architect and eventually became the Chief Software Architect and Team Lead. Additionally, José worked as a Software Developer at Universidade de Évora from 2016 to 2017.

José Trancas obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Évora, completing their studies in 2014. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2004, they attended Escola Secundária Manuel da Fonseca, where they pursued Information Technology. In terms of additional certifications, José received several, including certificates in Situational Leadership from Abilways - Portugal in November 2021, Clean Architecture: Patterns, Practices, and Principles from Pluralsight in April 2021, Domain-Driven Design Fundamentals from Pluralsight in April 2021, Leading Problem-solving Meetings from Pluralsight in April 2021, Micro Frontends Architecture from Pluralsight in April 2021, Learn DevOps: The Complete Kubernetes Course from Udemy in September 2020, Agile Scrum Fundamentals from Udemy in December 2019, Secure Software Design Specialization from Coursera in September 2018, Image and video processing from Coursera in January 2016, and Introduction to Data Science and Machine Learning, both from Coursera, in September 2014.
