Michael Wennekamp has a strong background in the YMCA organization, with a focus on executive leadership and operations. Michael began their career as a Program Director at the Cedar Rapids Metro YMCA in 1998. Michael then moved on to the Alfred Campanelli YMCA, where they served as an Associate Executive Director from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, they joined the Two Rivers YMCA and held the role of Chief Operating Officer until 2013, when they were promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Overall, their work experience showcases their dedication to the YMCA and their progression in leadership positions within the organization.
From 1996 to 1998, Michael Wennekamp attended the University of Iowa, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Sport and Health Studies with a focus on Business Administration.
