Christian Gilson

Christian Gilson is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in the finance and technology sectors. Currently serving as Vice President and Data Scientist at Two Sigma since July 2021, Christian previously co-founded Hivemind, where the focus was on leveraging collective intelligence to transform unstructured data into valuable datasets. This work earned recognition as the Futures Industry Association Innovator of the Year in 2019. Prior roles at Winton include Vice President and various positions as a data scientist, where Christian contributed to significant projects backed by notable investors such as Barclays and Fidelity International. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Bristol, a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from Birkbeck, University of London, and a specialized module in Mathematical Modelling of Football from Uppsala University.
