Aarre Asikainen has extensive work experience in the field of project management and delivery. Aarre is currently the Head of Delivery at twoday Finland since October 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Delivery, Digital Solutions at Visma Consulting Finland from January 2022 to October 2022. Before their time at Visma Consulting, Aarre worked as a Project Manager at Visma Finland from January 2020 to January 2022.
Aarre's experience also includes roles at EXFO, where they worked as a Customer Project Lead from June 2018 to January 2020, and as a Services Manager from March 2010 to June 2018. Aarre started their career at NetHawk as a Deployment Manager from October 2006 to March 2010. Prior to that, Aarre worked at SysOpen Digia Plc. as a Project Manager from April 2003 to October 2006. Aarre began their professional journey at Necsom Ltd., where they served as a Product Development Manager from March 1997 to March 2003.
Aarre Asikainen completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Information Technology from LUT University in the years 1994 to 2000. Aarre also earned a MSc, tech degree in Information Technology from Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) during the same period.
In addition to their formal education, Aarre has obtained certifications in project management and agile methodologies. Aarre obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI in March 2014, and they also became a Certified ScrumMaster through the Scrum Alliance in January 2011.
