Chuck Fried has an extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Chuck started in 1986 as a Department Manager at Strawbridge and Clothier, overseeing the furniture and rug department. In 1988, they became the Executive Director/IT Manager at The Option of Adoption, where they designed and built the network and computer systems for the organization. In 1992, Chuck founded Blue Rose Computer Systems and served as its President and Founder until 1994. Chuck then became the President and CEO of Andalon.com (formerly The Tech Shop), a technology and services company, from 1995 to 2000. In the same year, Chuck became the President of TxMQ, an international consulting firm specializing in helping companies navigate and integrate the digital economy. Chuck also held the role of President and CEO at TxMQ from 2000 onwards. In 2018, Chuck took on a volunteer position as the Vice President at Toronto CICS Association, a user group promoting IBM's CICS mainframe software.
Chuck Fried attended Williamsville East High School from 1982 to 1986, where they did not obtain a degree or declare a field of study. During the same period, they also attended the University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a concentration in Finance.
In terms of certifications, Chuck Fried has obtained various credentials from IBM. Chuck has been recognized as an IBM Champion for three consecutive years, starting in 2021 and continuing into 2022. Additionally, they obtained the certification of WebSphere Solutions Sales Professional from IBM in July 2012.
