Steve Willard

Steve Willard is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in energy management and technology innovation. Currently serving as Program Manager at PNM Resources since October 2001, Steve leads efforts in energy storage research and demonstration as the principal investigator for a DOE-funded Smart Grid Energy Storage project. Previously, as Manager of the Center for Innovation/Tech, Steve defined technology priorities and led collaboration efforts with universities and national labs. Prior roles include Product Support Manager at Honeywell Power Systems, overseeing the micro-turbine fleet in Europe and North America, and Engineer at Energy Partners, focusing on energy efficiency assessments and project implementation. Steve began their career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zanzibar, Tanzania, teaching at Karume Technical College. Steve holds an MBA from UNM Anderson School of Management and a BSME from The University of New Mexico.
