Mike Bagnall attended Hartpury University and Hartpury College from 2008 to 2010, where they earned a National Diploma of Excellence in Rugby with a focus on Sports Studies. Mike then went on to study at Cardiff Metropolitan University from 2010 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Hons degree in Sports Conditioning, Rehab and Massage.
