Martin Buhr

Martin Buhr has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Martin is the CEO and Founder of Tyk, an open source API gateway and management platform. Martin founded the company in 2015 and continues to lead it. Before Tyk, Martin was the Head of Technology and Product Development at Lucky Voice, where they worked from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they founded and developed tools for developers, agencies, and small businesses at Jively Ltd. from 2012 to 2015. Martin also worked as a Technologist/Technical Architect at LBi in 2012 and as the Creative Director of Technology and Project Manager at Reading Room Studio from 2009 to 2012. Martin started their career as a Web Manager at Ink Publishing in 2007 and later founded Euro-Freelancer Ltd. in 2006. Martin began their career as an E-Commerce Consultant at Synergy Ecommerce Solutions, where they worked from 2005 to 2007. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in technology development, product management, and entrepreneurship.

Martin Buhr attended St. Julians School from 1998 to 2000, although they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study during this time. From 2000 to 2003, they studied at Goldsmiths, University of London, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Lastly, from 2003 to 2004, Martin attended King's College London, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in International Management.
