William van Asselt

William Van Asselt currently serves as Deputy Chief Legal Officer at Tyler Technologies, a position held since April 2021. Prior to this role, William held various legal positions at NIC Inc. from June 2010 to April 2021, including General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, and Associate General Counsel. Earlier experience includes an associate role at Lathrop & Gage LLP from 2006 to 2010, and similar positions at Hogan Lovells (2005-2007) and Warner Norcross & Judd LLP (2003-2005). Additionally, William served as Executive Director of the Washington D.C. Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation, Inc. from 1997 to 2000. Academically, William earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Harvard Law School (2000-2003) and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia (1993-1997).
