Antti Kaihovaara is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic policy and research. Currently serving as Chief Specialist at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment in Finland since April 2019, Kaihovaara also held the role of Senior Specialist. Prior to this, academic endeavors as a PhD candidate in Economic and Social History at the University of Helsinki spanned from January 2017 to June 2022. Kaihovaara founded Kaiho Research and Consulting from April 2017 to April 2019 and held consulting roles at Ramboll Management Consulting from May 2015 to December 2016. Additional experience includes positions as Project Researcher at The Kalevi Sorsa Foundation, Attaché for International Affairs at the Office of the President of the Republic of Finland, and Junior Policy Officer at the Helsinki EU Office. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki and an exchange year at University College London in 2009.
